POP! Apologizes for Polling Error!

Dear Pasadena Community,

On January 16, 2019, thousands of Pasadena residents received an email from a reputable research company hired by Pasadena Organizing for Progress (POP!). The purpose of the email was to conduct research among residents to explore and learn their opinions on issues facing our community.

An error was made in the email message that may have given the impression the survey came directly from the City of Pasadena. The City did not sponsor the survey. POP! regrets any negative impact this blunder may have had on the City of Pasadena officials, its employees, and the residents who received and participated in the survey.

POP! is a multi-issue non-profit community organization whose mission is to make Pasadena a more just, fair and inclusive city. We are currently advocating to protect a 2016 Pasadena minimum wage ordinance to ensure that low-wage workers earn $15 per hour by 2020.

POP! encourages our community to not lose sight of the goal to make life better for those living in precarious circumstances.

Our sincerest apologies,

Pablo Alvarado, POP! Co- Chair
Florence Annang, POP! Co-Chair
Kimberly Douglas, POP! Co- Chair
